Vanessa-Mae ~ Choreography

~ a bit of CnP information first abt this album..

~Choreography is a Vanessa-Mae album featuring work by Vangelis, Bill Whelan, A. R. Rahman, Tolga Kashif, and Walter Taieb. She performs with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. “Emerald Tiger” is a composition by Riverdance’s Whelan, a sort of Irish/Asian fusion. “Raga’s Dance”, by film composer Rahman, is a piece that mixes Carnatic instruments and vocals to a large symphonic orchestration. “Bolero for Violin and Orchestra” is a tribute to Ravel’s’s Boléro, and it features a darbuka. “Tribal Gathering” is a minimalist composition in the vein of John Adams but with a live Afro percussion rhythm beneath. “Bolero”, “Tango de los Exilados”, and “Tribal Gathering” were composed by the European composer Walter Taieb (The Alchemist’s Symphony).

~Track listing would be:
  1. “Sabre Dance” (Aram Khachaturian) – 6:01
  2. “Roxane’s Veil” (Vangelis) – 4:42
  3. “Bolero for Violin and Orchestra” (Walter Taieb) – 5:06
  4. “Tango de los Exilados” (Walter Taieb) – 3:55
  5. “The Havana Slide” (Jon Cohen) – 3:45

~Sabre Dance vids~

~released on October 2004, Vanessa-Mae never failed to deliver the best as she can be...

~I like her album just like her previous album such as "The Violin Player" and so on...

~maybe sometimes people didn't like classical music being changed because the feel is not that real (Vanessa-Mae opt to used an electrical violin rather than the normal violin...)..

~I dun care that much as long as her music sounds damn good and feel so relaxing in some part (Handel's Minuet) or catchy version of the album (Sabre Dance, Tango and so on...)...

~my personal favorite would be "Bolero for Violin and Orchestra", "Tango de los Exilados", "Raga's Dance" and "Handel's Minuet"...

~kudos for the good work Vanessa and couldn't wait to see your next album then....
